Terrier Type was established in 1962 by Dan Kiedrowski, and has always held a very special place in the heart of the terrier fancy.  It has chronicled the history of terriers, celebrated the victories and grand moments of competition as well as educated breeders and owners who love and treasure these special breeds.

It has served as an important forum by which all breeders, owners, and judges come together and teach, learn and inform.  Now, as our sport becomes more global in scope, Terrier Type still has a lot of important work to do in the years to come.

I am now committed to returning to you one of America's longest running magazines for the dedicated terrier breeder and fancier.  Your input on what you would like to see in the future issues, along with new editorial   content we will establish, will make this a must read for all.

The road to success is not one we follow, but one we create.  Together with your continued support and my dedication to seeing this magazine return to what it was - this publication will prosper and grow.

Dear Advertisers & Subscribers

It is with great sadness that we temporarily have to say goodbye to Cherie Virden.  She has been the driving force behind the cutting edge design of Terrier Type these past two years, she has approached each issue with great thought and artistic flair.  Due to her mother's failing health she has resigned from her position with our magazine to take care and make her mother comfortable.  I wish Cherie and her family all the best as she has been a personal friend for several years and our thoughts are with her during these difficult times.

In her absence Pam Sheane will take her place as Artistic Director, her experience in the field as a Graphic Designer in addition with her involvement with Airedales will be a great asset to the continued success of Terrier Type.  You can contact Pam at terriertype@shaw.ca all advertising should be submitted to editor@terriertype.com  We have also created our own FTP site  to aid in the ease of production.  Welcome aboard Pam!
