Submitting Printer-Ready Ads:

Files should be saved as Adobe pdf files at 300dpi, CMYK, Mac platform. PLEASE remember to add an additional 1/8 inch around all four sides for any background or artwork bleeds. Also, please respect the “live image” area to avoid any part of ad copy being cut off.

Media and Transfer Methods: 

To send ad materials via email you may submit text in a Microsoft Word document or within the email body. Photos and finished pdf ad docs larger than 8 mgs may not transfer. If you have problems getting larger files to transfer you can use our ftp site. The address is ftp1.terriertype.com, user name: terriertype, password: gooddog. We also accept files from yousendit.com, and of course you may send ads or ad materials on a CD.

Fonts:

Please do not use menu-styled fonts. Fonts must be embedded in printer-ready ads.

Digital Images: 

All images must be a minimum of 300 dpi at the size they will appear in the ad. (This includes logos and artwork.) Images from a web site are very, very low resolution, and therefore will not be accepted. If sending hard copy photos, please send at least 4 x 6 inch images for best reproduction quality. Your photos will be returned.

Please save black and white scans as grayscale and color scans and graphic elements as CYMK jpeg, tiff or eps files. RGB files should be converted to CYMK. Artwork and logos sent in hard copy should be sent as slicks
